The inscription has been removed from the item. There are no issues with the sword itself. Made entirely by hand using Yasuki Hagane No. 2 steel. The carved areas have a luster. It looks much better than a piece made with a dull sword. "Black blade" refers only to the hilt and the unsharpened blade.
