I am releasing my collection as part of a decluttering effort. I hope it will go to someone who will cherish it. Seikichi Omine is a master of Okinawan pottery, having been a professor at the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts and serving as its president from 2002 to 2003. This is a Persian Blue tokkuri made by Seikichi Omine of Omine Kobo over 15 years ago. The tokkuri is made with the rough clay that Seikichi Omine favored, combined with the Persian Blue glaze, which is now synonymous with Omine Kobo, creating a beautiful effect. Few were made, making it a rare item. It has a strong presence even when displayed, and it is also modern when placed in a room as a vase or object.
