It's a back-opening design with fabric-covered buttons made from the same material. The cuffs have elastic. Please compare the size with the 7th image and your own dresses, etc. It's finished as a lovely A-line dress. There are some spots on the back (image 6). I don't think they are very noticeable, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. If you need alterations (paid) or have any questions, please comment before purchasing.
