The ULTRA MONSTERS COLLECTION features a unique design by SHINZI KATOH, with a cute character depiction of ZETTON on a small, palm-sized plate. ■ Size: Approximately 15.7cm x 12cm x 1.6cm ■ Design: ULTRA MONSTERS COLLECTION / ZETTON ■ Shinzi Katoh A goods designer and picture book author from Kumamoto Prefecture. Over a design career spanning more than 50 years, he has sent over 15,000 different product designs, including goods, shoes, clothing, picture books, and jewelry, both domestically and internationally. He has also collaborated with famous characters such as Disney, Pokemon, Ultra Monsters, and Astro Boy. He created "Sorabea," a character featuring polar bear siblings struggling with environmental changes on Earth, and in 2010, the activities of the NPO Sorabea Foundation received the Environment Minister's Award. He has published over 30 picture books with Kodansha, Gakken, Iwasaki Shoten, Kokuyo, and Shuppan Works, among others, with several of them translated and published. From 2014, the exhibition "Shinzi Katoh World ~ Designer of a Dream World ~" toured museums nationwide. In 2016 and 2017, he held his first overseas exhibitions in Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan. His activities have expanded worldwide, including events at Harrods in London and colette in Paris, as well as the adoption of his designs for novelty items at Hong Kong & Taiwan 7-Eleven stores. In 2018, he created the "Traveling Picture Book" & pins collection for Kyukamura. In 2019, the picture book "Little Red Riding Hood" was adapted into a stage play for the first time. In 2020, he created the TOYOTA 2021 wall calendar, and numerous collaborative roomwear and goods items were launched to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ito-Yokado. In 2021, he held the MERRY GIFT-MAS event, decorating the mall at life@KCC in Hong Kong. In 2022, he published "Tracing Literature with a Glass Pen: Kenji Miyazawa's Phantom Lantern Hall" from Tsuchiya Shoten. In 2023, he published "Tracing the Literary Path with a Glass Pen" from Tsuchiya Shoten. He held the exhibition "Kenji Miyazawa's Phantom Lantern Hall: The World of Kenji and Goods Spun by a Popular Designer" at the Hanamaki City Ihatov Hall. In 2024, the various confectionery collections of Cheri, in collaboration with Boulmiche, which has its main store in Ginza, celebrate their 5th anniversary. He will hold the performance "Shinzi Katoh's Phantom Lantern Hall Traced by Reading: Kenji Miyazawa" to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Kasugai City's municipal status.
