Floyd Rose Type Tremolo Locking Screw Replacement Parts If you overtighten the locking screws on your locking bridge and the strings can no longer be locked, removing the locking screws and insert blocks and installing these parts will allow you to use the bridge without locking the strings. These screws have a hole inside and are used by passing the string through them. This eliminates the need to cut the strings with nippers and lock them with an L-wrench every time you change strings. The ball end fits snugly inside the tube, so there is not much change in appearance. String insertion and removal is also smooth. Installation is simply removing the insert blocks and the original locking screws, and replacing them with these parts. It's OK if the tip of the screw goes in about 3-4mm, so do not force it in using pliers or the like. The strings will be pulled and fixed by the tension of the strings when they are strung. Since the screw is M4 standard, it should be usable with most locking tremolos, but please check the dimensions before purchasing.
