He has a friend named Hiroshi in Ishinomaki. In Ishinomaki, there is a mural created by the Over the Wall team, and from Winnie the whale in that painting, Sammy is introduced to friends in murals around the world. Sammy travels the world and meets Tiny the hummingbird in Ecuador, and hears the sad story of a prisoner who committed a crime due to poverty. He is told that although he cannot suck the nectar from the flowers in the painting, those flowers can bloom in people's hearts. In East Timor, he meets Felix the crocodile and learns about the importance of the sun, and how the sun gives life to people. He learns that the sun is painted on the walls of hospitals as a symbol of protecting life. Next, Sammy flies to Ukraine. There, he meets Kira the seagull and hears an old Ukrainian folktale about how various animals warm themselves in a glove dropped by a traveler, and that warmth creates peace. Sammy returns to Ishinomaki and talks to Winnie. From Winnie, he learns that there was once a large tsunami in Ishinomaki, and that nature can sometimes bare its fangs. Hiroshi hears about the murals around the world from Sammy and draws flowers, hummingbirds, and crocodiles in his sketchbook. Then, other swallows arrive and tell him that war has broken out in Ukraine. The mural in Ukraine is damaged, and the animals in the glove seem to have disappeared. The animals are at a loss, and Tiny the hummingbird, as the only thing he can do, takes a drop of water in his mouth and tries to extinguish the flames of war.
