This item is an antique Chinese sencha tea set, a set of four tea trays. Tea trays are originally used as saucers for teacups when serving tea to guests, and their shapes and materials vary greatly. In the Edo period, they were called "chadai" or "takushi." There were also items imported from China, such as "karamono." This item comes in three different types, so please refrain from purchasing if you are particular about items like old Imari plates or tea trays, such as those with five pieces. The sizes are as follows: Bat-patterned mokko-shaped tray: 11.5 cm wide, 8.5 cm long; Rice ear-patterned tray: 12 cm wide, 7 cm long; Chrysanthemum-patterned tray with inscribed "Kotobuki" characters: 12 cm wide, 7 cm long. Please take these measurements into consideration. I hope that those who are interested in these old, antique Chinese sencha tea utensils, the tea trays that have survived through the ages, and overseas collectors who occasionally purchase through BUYEE, will enjoy them as part of their collections.
