This is a snood I purchased a while ago at RONNIE SCOTT'S. I bought it because of the beautiful gradation. The fabric feels like felt or a felted material. I haven't used it much and have stored it carefully, so there are no moth holes or stains. However, there is some yellowing on the tag. Please see the images for the material.
