Purchased from the official Apple Store approximately one and a half years ago. It is SIM-free. You can use it immediately with any carrier. Glass coating was applied about a month after purchase. I used a case even after the coating, so I think it's in relatively good condition. However, there are some minor scratches from use. Also, there is a small dent on the corner of the camera.
