I purchased them from a shop that makes these. *I am including new, unused silicone earring backs. The button material is likely glass, but it looks like metal due to the metallic paint. It has a similar texture to cut steel, which is popular in antique accessories. I have forgotten the material of the earring hardware. I have used these several times. There are scratches and some signs of use on the hardware. At first glance, they are simple, but they have a design that looks like small, cut beads are tightly packed into a flower shape. They sparkle beautifully when they catch the light. The silver is also a slightly darker antique silver, which adds to the atmosphere. I am also selling a similar bronze-gold type that I purchased at the same time.
