This is a Ryukyu Kasuri (Okinawan ikat) I purchased from an antique kimono shop in Jingumae, Tokyo. It has a crisp texture, and I believe it's a type of Kabe-jo-fu (a fine linen fabric). The translucent off-white color would look beautiful against a summer sky. There were stains on it when I acquired it, so I asked a kimono shop to remove them and have it professionally cleaned, but some stains remained. Thank you for your understanding.
