This is L'Oiseau-Lyre OL-LD185/6 from France (monaural, 12-inch, two-disc set). Green label with black lettering, deep groove, flat and heavy vinyl, first pressing. No jacket. The record surfaces have only minor paper scuffs that do not affect the sound; otherwise, they are in pristine, like-new condition. The preservation is excellent. The recording includes J.S. Bach's "Complete Cello Suites BWV1007-1012." The performer is Jean-Max Clément (cello). Recorded in Paris on May 3rd and 4th, 1958. A legendary record that needs no explanation. English pressings, both mono and stereo, are relatively common and not particularly rare, but the original French pressing is said to have been pressed only in mono, and the number distributed for sale was very limited. Therefore, original jackets are extremely rare, and most copies appear on the market as records only. This set is also a very common set without a jacket. However, it is not something to be compared to the English pressing, and the sound quality boasts overwhelming realism, making it a must-have item that will stir the collector's soul. A phantom record.
