While I can't say for sure since it's not written in the tag, I believe it's leather. It opens and closes with a buckle. When you open the flap, there's a small coin pocket with a lid on the front. It has a 5cm gusset on both sides, so it holds more than it looks. My long wallet (thick), smartphone, water bottle, and battery all fit. The fabric is generally soft and pleasant to the touch. However, leather products often fade, so it's a good idea to rub it once before using it to check. The shape is the same as the other two items I'm selling, but the leather quality and sewing are inferior. This one was also purchased at a brick-and-mortar store. There are black marks often seen on leather, throughout the bag, including places not shown in the photos. I believe they used leather with stains from the beginning (photos 10, 11, and 12). The fringe is also a bit worn, but that could be seen as adding a vintage feel. I'll sell this to someone who appreciates the character of this bag.
