This is a 1940s US Navy CPO shirt. It's a button-down style with a pocket and a printed tag. The size is 15 1/2 M, and the color is dark navy. All the anchor mark buttons are original. Below the tag, there's a hand-stitched unit/personal number, which was likely intended to fade with wear. While wool items of this age often have moth damage, this one does not. It's unlikely you'll find another in this condition from this era. It fits comfortably over a thin vintage sweatshirt, and is close to a perfect fit with a thick Champion Reverse Weave.
