Thank you for viewing. I am selling an E-MU E5000ULTRA sampler. I purchased it new about 23 years ago. The EOS is 4.01 and the RAM has been expanded to 64MB. I have confirmed sound output from both the main out and headphones, and the basic operations such as sampling are working without any problems. The buttons and jog dial are also responsive. I currently do not have any compatible HDDs or CD-ROM drives for the SCSI, so their functionality has not been confirmed. The sequencer section has also not been used since I purchased it, so it is unconfirmed. The exterior has a small rust spot on the bottom, but otherwise, it is in almost pristine condition. The LCD screen still has the protective film on it. This unit is equipped with the orbit/phattROM (16MB) sound expansion ROM. Therefore, it can be used not only as a sampler but also as a synthesizer. I mainly used it as a synthesizer. Orbit is for techno, and phatt is for HIPHOP and R&B, similar to the company's planet phatt. Both orbit and planet phatt were very popular synthesizers at the time of their release and were often seen in studio photos of various artists. It has a wide variety of bass, HIT sounds, drum kits, and voice samples. When I started it up recently, it did not recognize the ROM, but after reinserting it, it was successfully recognized. However, preset 16 is displayed as 0 and no sound is produced (photo 12). Other presets produce sound without any problems. The accessories are shown in photos 12-15. The operation manual in photo 13 has some stains on pages 412-415. The E5000ULTRA is listed on various auction sites and flea market sites, but units equipped with the ORBIT/phatt ROM like this one are rarely seen, even on overseas sites. Although it is an entry-level model, it is a high-quality machine comparable to a flagship model, and it is a very attractive piece of equipment equipped with late 90s techno/house and black music sounds. However, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to used equipment. No claims and no returns are accepted.
