A set of two Paul Cardew-designed teacup-patterned mugs. This listing is for the two mugs and a teapot from a new, boxed set. Paul Cardew's works are mostly display pieces that are elaborately and faithfully modeled after furniture, etc., but this set is designed for actual use. These mugs are actually displayed on a shelf (photo 19) that is a different version of the dresser-shaped teapot that Ringtons commissioned Paul Cardew to make for the 2000 Millennium celebration. The rolled-up cross pattern on the left side of the same shelf and the tea towel pattern on the upper lid are also the same (photo 18). *Note: Photos 18 and 19 are reference images and are not included in the product. Because they are used in Ringtons' ordered items, I believe they are a symbolic design of Mr. Paul Cardew. They are also large in size, with the mugs holding 300ml when filled to 80%. The teapot also holds about 1L. The items are new, so there is no damage, but as they are foreign products, please understand that there may be ink color transfer, black spots, air bubbles, slight unevenness in the fabric, and unevenness in the glaze due to manufacturing.
