I crocheted a unique granny stitch sacoche bag. The front and back are different colors. Instead of a button, I've used a round ball stuffed with cotton. Instead of lining, I've inserted a commercially available black drawstring bag. I don't think things will fall out through the crocheted holes. The strap is a sturdy, commercially available one.
