Rare! KAWAI B25? Type F-100 ADJ Saddle Japan Vintage Acoustic Guitar, Adjusted Made in the 1970s? Perhaps inspired by the G company's B25? Kawai seems to specialize in models that are a bit different! F-type model, not very common. The headstock, top, sides, and back have few scratches or dents, and are very clean for their age. However, unfortunately, there are two paint cracks on the top's pickguard. They are not very noticeable at a glance. The sound is gentle, like a 12th-fret joint. There is a stain that looks like a repair mark from a bridge separation, but it's not very noticeable. When strings are put on, the base of the ADJ saddle leans slightly towards the soundhole, so a shim has been inserted (photo). This slightly corrects the octave pitch. You can remove it if you don't mind. The truss rod nut is special (photo). When I got it, it was difficult to play, but after maintenance, it has a glossy finish and is full of vintage feel after more than 50 years! Basic maintenance has been performed. Set to modern appropriate settings, no buzzing. I don't do the simple task of "shaving the saddle to the limit" to lower the string height. I adjust from both the saddle height and the nut height. To maintain sustain, I secure 2mm of saddle height for the 6th string and 1.5mm for the 1st string. For an easy-to-play guitar, the string height at the low frets is the most important. Adjusting the string height at the 1st fret to 0.35-0.45mm. Sore fingers are also unpleasant! The main reason why F chords can't be played is because the string height at the 1st fret is too high. It seems that many guitars have unadjusted nut heights. This is not a resale or a pass-through of the current product.
