There are different names for the width of the ribs, such as wide wale, mid wale, fine wale, and extra-wide wale (oni-kōru), but this pair uses a mid-wale fabric that is easy to use as a standard. It has a moderate weight that allows you to feel light when wearing it, making it a pair you can wear throughout the year.
