Set of two deep red lacquerware soup bowls. Purchased at a special event at the Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. According to my mother, who purchased them, they are "Wajima-nuri" (Wajima lacquerware), but as there is no box or documentation, this is uncertain. These were for guests, but I no longer use them, so I am offering them for sale. There are small scratches as shown in images 8 and 9. I believe they are barely noticeable, but please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about such details. The deep red color and calm tone are suitable for those who appreciate such aesthetics.
