This is a simple yuzu tea. It uses yuzu harvested from trees grown in fields without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The yuzu slices are dried in the sun for 5-6 days. Bathing in plenty of sunlight, the peel and juice are condensed, resulting in a slightly bitter and quite sour taste. This year, it's been warm, so the juice part has a strong reddish color when dried. Also, some pieces may not be perfectly shaped. Yuzu is highly nutritious and has various benefits, especially the vitamin C content in the peel, which is among the highest of citrus fruits, reportedly three times that of lemons. It's perfect for vitamin replenishment in the cold winter. The contents will be approximately 10-13 slices (depending on the thickness and size, enough for about 10-13 cups, depending on your preferred strength). To make the tea, steep 1-2 slices in a pot (or one slice in a cup and let it sit for a while). After steeping for a while, the yuzu will rehydrate, resulting in a yuzu tea with a unique aroma and a tangy flavor. It's bitter and sour, so adding honey or other sweeteners will make it more delicious. The peel is nutritious, so you can eat the rehydrated yuzu as is, or with added sweetness (there may be small seeds). When added to black tea, it can be used as a substitute for lemon.
