The L-2 was first ordered in 1955, after the Korean War armistice. It was adopted as the definitive light zone flight jacket and continued to be used until the late 1970s, undergoing various minor modifications. Early models existed with champagne gold wool rayon fabric used for the lining. This flight jacket is made by the long-established American casual brand Houston, and is a special model customized with Blue Angels embroidery and patches. The Air Force blue color and slim sizing are stylish, and the reproduction rate of the vintage model is high. As it is a light zone flight jacket, it has no padding. The zipper used is a Conmar, often used in vintage replicas. The size is 40, which is about an L. The actual measurements are: shoulder width approximately 48 cm, body width approximately 56 cm, length from the bottom of the front rib to the collar approximately 55 cm, and sleeve length from the armpit approximately 47 cm.
