This is the Guyatone LG-65T, said to be the best-selling model in the "bizarre guitar" category. It's a common sight, being the best seller, but the condition varies greatly from one guitar to another. However, I think this one is usable. The electrical components appear to be fully original, and everything functions without any crackling or contact issues. Both the rocker switch and the rhythm switch work perfectly. The tone control is originally reverse-wired. The shimmering tone of the single-coil pickups on the metal pickguard is irreplaceable. The ease of use with two pickups, the just-right size and easy-to-play shape, plus the fact that the tremolo is actually usable (!) for this type of guitar, makes it easy to understand why it sold so well. The finish has some damage, which could be described as a matte finish, but there are also some uneven spots. Also, the headstock surface has been refinished. It's not too bad, but there are still some uneven spots. Aside from those points, it's been thoroughly disassembled and cleaned, so it's clean overall. Four peg bushings were missing, so I replaced them with ones from a Teisco of a similar vintage. The neck originally doesn't have a truss rod, but it's generally straight with a slight forward bow, and it plays without any dead spots. How about it as a practical "bizarre guitar"?
