This is an octagonal hibachi (brazier) by Gorosaburo Kanaya, a representative casting artisan of Kyoto. Made of brass, it features exquisite details such as the carp-shaped handles. It is still beautiful and you wouldn't think it's from the Meiji era. Truly a masterpiece by a renowned artisan.
