The unique shibori (tie-dyeing) technique, the gentle dyeing colors, and the plump expression of the camellia come together beautifully to represent a world of Tsujigahana (a type of textile art). The deep toki-iro (peach color) features a flowing water pattern, while the light purple has a kanoko (fawn) pattern-like shibori, creating a gentle atmosphere. As this is an old Kobukusa, it has been stiffened with a core for a slightly crisp finish. [Size] The traditional size of Kobukusa used in the Urasenke school of tea ceremony. It is also used by those who practice Kodo (incense ceremony). Finished size: Made with a pattern of 5 sun (15.2cm) x 5 sun 3 bu (16.3cm), but please allow for slight variations. [Sewing Method] Three sides are sewn, and the short side of 5 sun is a "wa" (folded edge). There are no knotting balls. ❤️ Since it is new, there is no crease in the center. When using it folded in half, place the "wa" on the right side, choose your favorite side as the front, and fold it in half.
