I bought this to train my puppy to stop biting. It contains a natural bittering agent extracted from apples, so I could use it with peace of mind. I licked it, and it really is bitter. I sprayed it on furniture that my puppy often chews, and in my puppy's case, he stopped biting it immediately because he didn't like it. (Individual results may vary.)
