This is a Chinese teapot featuring a lid decorated with a dragon sticking out its tongue. Length from spout to handle: approximately 17cm Diameter of the pot: approximately 10cm Length to the lid: approximately 8cm This is a large teapot. The dragon on the lid has a mechanism that makes its tongue stick out when tilted (photos 7 and 9). The dragons carved on the side and the patterns on the handle are simple. My family purchased this and stored it, so the exact origin is unknown. The name of the maker or kiln is faintly engraved on the underside of the lid (photo 13). Although unused, there is a slight chip on the lid's receiving part (photo 14). There are also minor scratches from storage.
