This is a work by glass artist Kazuma Tominaga. Mr. Tominaga honed his skills at the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop in 2017, and after working as an assistant at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art, he has been creating works in Kanazawa since 2023. I purchased this piece at the KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa, which specializes in contemporary crafts and was held in Kanazawa in 2018. This vessel looks like a mirror on one side, but it is decorated with platinum leaf. The surface, where platinum shines on a bluish background, is very beautiful, and you won't get tired of looking at it. It has not been used as a teacup. The size of the work is 8cm in height and 14cm in maximum diameter. A box is included. I am also exhibiting another series by the same artist. Artist's Comment When wiping the teacup, please use a soft material such as a cloth. Wiping with hard objects or washing may scratch the glass or peel off the platinum on the surface. Glass is vulnerable to rapid heating and cooling. When using the teacup, please warm it with water around 60°C before use. #KazumaTominaga #ContemporaryCrafts
