Thank you for viewing. This is a lidded item I purchased at an antique market about 10 years ago. With this much indigo, it would normally give a heavy impression, but perhaps due to the design or the balance of the composition, it has a moderate weight. Could it be the large white-outlined peonies on the bowl that give that impression? It looks like it's filled with a wave pattern, but there are also floral arabesques hidden within. This may add randomness and prevent you from getting bored while looking at it. Lidded items can be used as a bowl and the lid can be used as a small plate, so it's very convenient to have one. If you don't have one, I think a relatively inexpensive and simple stamped porcelain would be good. Just having one can make your life much more refined. There are no noticeable scratches. I think there is little wear from use. Other than that, it's probably kiln marks. Please check the images carefully. Size Height: 8.5 cm Width: 11 cm
