The back is engraved with the words "Iwasaki Gomei Kaisha Accounting Department New Establishment Commemoration" and a seal, suggesting it was a novelty or commemorative item made to celebrate the founding of a company or the establishment of a new department. It is a very rare item. The soroban is a "5-bead soroban" with one bead at the top (five beads) and five beads at the bottom (one bead), a format used in the old days. It has a historical value, different from the modern 4-bead soroban. Being made of wood and of an old age, there are scratches, stains, rust on the metal parts, and wood chips (see photo 5), but I think you can enjoy them as the "flavor" of old things.
