1/18 AUTOart Toyota TS020. AUTOart TOYOTA GT1 TS020 Le Mans 24H 1999 The Toyota GT1 TS020 was a sports car introduced by Toyota in 1998, which attracted attention at the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans. This was a Group C-based race car developed by Toyota as the culmination of its many years of motorsports activities. The #1 car at the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans was the strongest GT car fielded by Toyota's works team, with drivers Aguri Suzuki, Jacques Villeneuve, and Eddie Irvine. Toyota was seriously aiming for victory at Le Mans that year, and the car had very high potential. The TS020 was equipped with a 3.6-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with a maximum output of over 600 horsepower. It recorded very good times in qualifying, proving Toyota's speed. However, some problems occurred during the race. Ultimately, the TS020 finished 4th at the 1999 Le Mans, and Toyota gained a major foothold for subsequent Le Mans races.
