This stole is made from authentic Amami Oshima Tsumugi, handwoven on Amami Oshima Island, bearing the "Chikyu-jirushi" (Earth Brand) mark. The pattern is 80-kikko (turtle shell), a classic design symbolizing longevity and prosperity, and is said to bring happiness from all directions. From a distance, it appears solid, making it a popular choice for men, women, and all ages. Enjoy the unique, subdued colors and the hand-woven texture and feel of Japan's traditional Amami Oshima Tsumugi, one of the world's three major textiles. Oshima Tsumugi is a fabric passed down in Japan since ancient times, and is coveted by kimono enthusiasts. However, as a stole, it can be worn casually by people of all ages. This time, we made it from leftover fabric, making it more affordable. The edges of the stole are finished with a picot stitch. *Made from antique fabric with the "Chikyu-jirushi" certification label (as shown in the image).
