The work "Brass Quintet" by Eiko Oda, which was broadcast at that time, was a piece that utilized the possibilities of brass instruments that I had never known before. I was also greatly influenced by Eiko Oda's arrangement of "When the Saints Go Marching In," which was a very clever and fun arrangement. In addition, you can feel the influence of the wind ensemble works that I was familiar with at the time of composition. At the time of composition, I was a high school student, and there were no players around me who could perform this piece. It was premiered on August 27, 2000, 14 years after its composition, at a concert by young musicians who had graduated from Osaka College of Music.
