I believe I purchased this at Takashimaya for around 30,000 yen at the time, but I don't remember exactly. I used it once at a flower arrangement exhibition. I used it twice for practice, for a short time each. This is a simple Shigaraki-yaki suiban (water basin) decorated with a white coating on a soil-colored base. The rough texture sparkles when exposed to light, creating a glamorous effect. Also, the white coating around the rim further enhances the beauty of the arrangement. The slight brown color in the center is from the beginning, and I believe it's part of the firing process. When using a kenzan (flower frog), I placed plastic in between, so it wasn't directly placed on the vase, and I don't think there are any scratches. Since this wasn't originally sold as a flower vase, it can be used in various ways, such as for decoration, bonsai, or a biotope. I will ship it in the original cardboard box it came in, wrapped in cushioning material. Shipping will require careful handling, so it will take some time. There is no receipt or product description. I am generally unfamiliar with ceramics, so please purchase with no claims and no returns. This is a large suiban suitable for exhibitions, and it's rare to find such a wonderful flower vase, so I highly recommend it.
