This is drum-tanned, vegetable-tanned nubuck leather from Himeji leather, a domestic tannery that rivals Tochigi Leather in popularity. Himeji leather is a general term for leather made by tanneries in Himeji, and has been produced for over 1000 years. In ancient times, it was used for the armor of the Toyotomi family, and is still a domestic leather used by many brands today. This is a firm nubuck leather.
