This is a clear glass bottle designed by Erik Höglund (1932–1998), a representative glass artist of Sweden. It is a rare bottle manufactured by the prestigious glass manufacturer Boda, where Höglund worked from the 1950s to the 60s. The most striking feature of this bottle is its unique form, with a large inward indentation in the center. Höglund's characteristic functional beauty brilliantly fuses the everyday functionality of "easy to hold" with the sculptural beauty of modern art. It may have originally been designed for practical purposes, such as a wine bottle. Furthermore, the hallmarks of Höglund's work, such as "bubble inclusions" and "variations in the glass (thickness changes)," can be seen throughout. By intentionally leaving the imperfect expressions of the material, it evokes the warmth of handcraftsmanship and a primitive beauty.
