It is said that approximately 20 million pens were produced over the course of about 30 years. The name comes from the completion of the design in 1939, the 50th anniversary of the company's founding. This product is marked "1/10 12K GOLD FILLED" and has "4times" engraved on the aerometric converter for ink filling, indicating that it is a Parker 51 Type 2-2 from after 1950. The name was changed from Signet to Insignia after 1950 due to copyright reasons.
