The "Alnico Classic PRO" pickup, along with "ProBucker," represents Epiphone's highest grade. These highly specialized pickups replicate Gibson's technology at the Epiphone factory. Richard Akers, who was in the pickup division at Gibson USA, served as the Research and Development Director at Epiphone, so these pickups truly embody Gibson's technology. The "Alnico Classic PRO" is based on the '57 Classic, which is also featured in Gibson's top-of-the-line Historic Collection models, guaranteeing its sound quality! I've installed them on my own guitar, and I think they are truly well-made pickups. They have a slightly more modern feel than the ProBucker, and while the output isn't high, they sound expensive, very similar to the '57 Classic. The '57 Classic is great in the neck position, and yes, the Alnico Classic PRO neck pickup is also superb. They are wax-potted, so they don't get out of control, and you can feel more power and sparkle than vintage-style pickups. They are 4-conductor, allowing for coil-tapping and a wide variety of sound-making possibilities. The lead wire lengths are 34cm for the neck pickup and 25cm for the bridge pickup. The output is approximately 7.7k for the neck pickup and approximately 8.45k for the bridge pickup. Everything in the images is included.
