There is some age-related rust, light scratches, and dents on the edge, but considering it's a cymbal from nearly 50 years ago, it's in overall good condition. This particular cymbal has a high pitch and a clear ping sound, making it perfectly usable as a ride cymbal, and I think it would also work well as a crash ride. Regarding my repairs: If cracks are only stopped with a drilled hole, the fractured surfaces can come into contact, causing a buzzing noise, and the sustain and tone will be lost. Because it won't sound good, people tend to hit it harder, and it ends up failing quickly. For practical use, cutting the crack is often the best result. During the repair process, I use a scope to check and remove even the roots of the cracks that are not visible to the naked eye, to prevent recurrence.
