This item has only been tried on. There was a scratch-like mark on the surface from the time of purchase. I returned and exchanged it once, but the replacement was not much different. I confirmed with the manufacturer, and apparently, all units are like this, so please consider it to be in the same condition as new. The old protector also had scratches all over it even when new, so it may look like this due to the matte finish.
