This volume is a compilation of research on the Shinsen Shōjiroku, including basic research on the Shinsen Shōjiroku, discussions of the heavenly gods, heavenly descendants, and earthly deities in the Shinsen Shōjiroku, extending to Ame no Hohimimi no Mikoto, the lineage of the imperial family in the Shinsen Shōjiroku, an explanation of the Shinsen Shōjiroku's textual criticism, and a collection of lost fragments of the Shinsen Shōjiroku. Reference: As a study of the "Shinsen Shōjiroku," Aritsune Saeki's "Studies on the Shinsen Shōjiroku" in 10 volumes (Yoshikawa Kobunkan) is famous, but it requires considerable effort for a layperson to read. However, if you only want to read the "Shinsen Shōjiroku," it would be better to buy Saeki's "Studies" main text. But this book is recommended because it includes a collation, basic research (family relationships, genealogical charts, differences from the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, etc.) in one volume, and also includes lost fragments cited in other documents.
