Material: Cloth (bleached cotton 100%) Size: Approximately 32-34cm square Uses Olympus sashiko thread. I drew the design myself on the bleached cotton. I did not use knots; I used backstitches to start and end, and overlapping stitches to join threads. I have washed it in water and ironed it to remove the design. Sashiko cloths are good for dust covers and placemats, but I also like the texture and feel of the stitched areas when used as dishcloths or kitchen cloths.
