Therefore, I may not be able to answer detailed questions. After researching similar items, it appears to be a case for a kiseru (Japanese pipe). The exterior is bamboo craft, and the interior is likely metal. The G口 (Gama-guchi) pouch has fabric on the front and leather on the back. The front appears to be very similar to what is called Sagara embroidery. I don't know the market value, so I'm listing it at half the price of similar items sold in antique shops.
