The painting is the same on both. I purchased these about 20 years ago along with the creamer and sugar pot I am also selling. They have been stored away for a long time. The hard vinyl lids on the bottom are difficult to open. When I opened them for inspection, I didn't have much strength and used pliers, which caused a small scratch. It didn't show up in the photos. Other than that, to the untrained eye, even using a magnifying glass, there are no noticeable damages. The gold trim, the painting, and the white porcelain are all beautiful. These are unused items that have been stored for a long time. They are not new. If you are concerned, please refrain from purchasing.
