Marble cheese platter and cheese knife from Godinger, America. This item is over 20 years old. It seems this shape is no longer in production. The material of the silver-colored parts around the edge is unknown. It will tarnish due to natural oxidation. The cheese knife doesn't cut as well as a knife, but it seems like it could cut soft cheese. It becomes shiny when polished with Piccard, but there are some spots where the silver has rusted. There are also a few spots between the grape clusters that are still slightly black and haven't been completely polished. The round parts appear black due to the camera reflection, but this is not oxidation. I have marked these areas with circles in the images. It has a substantial weight. The area around the feet on the back is slightly darkened.
