They were used only indoors. The ear pads were worn and deteriorated with age, so I've replaced them with new ones before listing. These are not genuine YAMAHA ear pads, but are made of genuine sheepskin leather, which is much more resistant to aging compared to the synthetic leather of the originals. Also, although there is no severe deterioration at present, the headband is also made of synthetic leather and will deteriorate over time. The headband on the item for sale shows some cracking. As a bonus, I'm including an unused polyurethane headband cover. If the surface of the headband cracks or peels, you can use this headband cover to avoid worrying about further deterioration. (The "YAMAHA" lettering on the headband will be hidden.) There are no operational issues. In addition to the headphones themselves, the following accessories are included: a 6.3mm stereo standard plug adapter, a 3m straight cable (detachable), a 1.2m coiled cable (detachable), a carrying pouch, and a polyurethane headband cover. The two cables are either unused or in near-new condition.
