Excellent Condition, Unused This is a set of a beautiful, unused fukusa-basami (silk cloth holder) with a fukusa (silk cloth). While organizing my parents' house, I found the fukusa inside the fukusa-basami box, so I'm offering them as a set, according to my family's wishes. The beautiful lidded fukusa-basami is designed to hold a fukusa, folding fan, kaishi (paper for tea ceremony), and toothpick all in one place. It features a delicate and gorgeous design of birds, flowers, and leaves. The size is approximately 9.8cm in height and 18.5cm in width. The fukusa is made of 100% silk, a shoha-ori (a type of silk weave) with a pattern called "Tonko Kabendan" (Dunhuang Petal Pattern), a meibutsu-gire (famous textile). The size is approximately 14.8cm in height and 15.6cm in width. Both items are old, and the outer box shows signs of aging, but the items themselves appear to be in excellent condition and unused.
