Leather coasters are inevitably more expensive per piece, so we've kept the price down by omitting those processes. Although these are simple coasters without decoration, we've applied minimal processing using a special treatment agent to reduce the fuzziness of the leather's edges (cut surfaces) and flesh side (back). The third photo shows the flesh side (back). The leather used is "Vacchetta" from Tochigi Leather. This leather is attractive for its various grain patterns and glossy sheen. Originally a soft leather, it has a crisp texture due to the flesh side treatment. Compared to cork or paper coasters, you'll find these feel more substantial.
