HERO (Hit-union) Training Wear Set, Size M, Extremely Rare This is a HERO (Hit-union) training wear set that was adopted by many corporate long-distance running teams from the late 1970s to around 1985. Both the top and bottom have zippered pockets. (Photos 4 and 5) The leg openings also have zippers. (Photo 8) The print on the tag has faded, so I'm unsure of the exact fabric, but it's a fine material that feels good against the skin, is lightweight, and warmer than it looks. (Likely a high cotton blend) As shown in photo 10, there is a small cut on the right knee. Purchased 38 years ago, deterioration is unavoidable, but I believe it is in good condition for its age. There are small pills on the collar, but I will remove them with a fabric shaver before shipping. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about used items or damage. Please consider this after understanding the above. At the time of purchase, Derek Clayton (Australia), who set the then-world marathon record of 2 hours, 8 minutes, 33.6 seconds in 1969, was the sales advisor. HERO had a sales contract with Hit-union at the time, but later, corporate long-distance teams switched to Wilson, which was also sold by Hit-union.
