They are white, so there is some staining and wear, but I have washed them at home with Uta-maro soap and stored them. There is some dirt on the toes, but how about using them for daycare? They are easier to wear than synthetic leather, and are recommended for children with thin insteps and narrow feet. They are a unisex color.
